Bevy’s Liquor World is a local liquor store brand competing in an increasingly crowded retail landscape shaped by big-box grocery stores, delivery apps, and online alcohol retailers. To stay competitive, Bevy’s needed more than just good pricing—they needed a memorable, personality-driven brand experience that would make customers choose them first.

The Challenge

After acquiring the store, the new ownership team needed to completely reimagine its identity—from the ground up. The existing name and brand no longer reflected the direction they wanted to take the business, and it lacked the personality and flexibility needed for future growth.

They needed a new name, brand identity, and visual system that could reposition the store as a modern, community-focused liquor destination. At the same time, the brand had to appeal to a wide and diverse audience—from long-time local customers to a younger generation exploring craft beer, wine, and spirits.

The challenge was creating something fresh and forward-looking while still feeling approachable and familiar enough to maintain trust, loyalty, and neighborhood relevance.

The Result

We created a full brand identity system centered around the character “Bevy”—a hardworking, knowledgeable, everyman who knows his booze and brings a friendly personality to the brand. Alongside Bevy, we designed his loyal sidekick, “Corky” the dog, adding an extra layer of warmth and humor that helps the brand feel instantly approachable.

To bring this world to life, we built an extensive illustration library featuring Bevy and Corky in a wide range of poses, expressions, and scenarios. These illustrations became a flexible storytelling toolkit used across signage, promotions, in-store graphics, and marketing materials—giving the brand a consistent voice while keeping it playful and dynamic.

A major focus of the system was retail environment and signage design, ensuring the brand could scale across multiple store locations. We developed a cohesive environmental graphics system designed to work across storefront signage, interior wayfinding, promotional displays, and seasonal updates—creating a recognizable and immersive in-store experience wherever customers encounter Bevy’s.

The result is a highly flexible, character-driven brand system that positions Bevy’s Liquor World for long-term growth. With Bevy and Corky at its core, the brand is not only instantly recognizable—it’s scalable, memorable, and built to expand into new locations while maintaining a strong and cohesive identity.
