We’re not a big agency and we’re not flaky freelancers. Instead, we offer the best of both worlds: the multi-faceted skills of an agency with the flexibility and personalized attention of freelancers—without the expensive overhead or unreliability.

Josiah and Meg tied the knot in 2016—shortly after, Josiah turned his love of design into something bigger: Mothershed Design Co. What started as a solo adventure quickly became a true partnership when Meg joined full-time in 2018.
Together, we’re a small but mighty team working remotely just outside Denver, Colorado. We combine our strengths, collaborate on every detail, and love what we do.
As a small business ourselves, our mission is simple: help other small businesses shine online through thoughtful branding, custom websites, and a whole lot of heart.

Meg Mothershed
Having dreamed of running her own business since she was six, joining Josiah at Mothershed Design Co. was a no-brainer. Meg combines her passion for entrepreneurship with a love of problem-solving to help small businesses thrive. As the main point of contact, she manages the nitty-gritty details of the business and leads strategy and art direction, ensuring every brand and website is thoughtfully designed.

Josiah Mothershed
Born and raised in Colorado, Josiah began his design career with agencies and in-house teams before striking out on his own. His passion for building standout brands—and his intense love of logos—drives him to craft the best solutions for every client. As Mothershed Design Co.’s designer and developer, Josiah always thinks outside the box, bringing creativity, strategy, and a playful touch to every project.
